Convalescent Care
The Convalescent Care program provides additional short-term recuperation after surgery or serious illness. The focus of Convalescent Care is to help the client to achieve the highest level of independence possible for a safe discharge back to the community. We focus on activities of daily living (walking, dressing, feeding etc.) and physiotherapy treatment. Discharge planning begins when you are admitted by striving towards your goals with the support of a multidisciplinary team (Nurse, CCA, pharmacy, Social Worker, Physiotherapist, PTA). The average length of stay is less than 6 weeks. The charge for Convalescent Care is set by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The convalescent care wing has 18 private rooms.
