ANNUAL REPORT

November

Lest we forget.

On Remembrance Day, we honour all those who bravely served on the frontlines and gave everything for something greater than themselves.

Let us not only reflect on their bravery, but honour it with service of our own by living out the values they fought to protect.

October

Do You Know? In Canada, 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness in their lifetime. For 6.7 million Canadians of all ages, this is a daily reality. Let's do our part to help end the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Accreditation Canada Review

We will be participating in SHA Continuing Care Accreditation Canada audit in October of 2022. As part of the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s (SHA) commitment to quality and safety, the SHA and affiliates participate in an independent, third-party assessment of our care and services by Accreditation Canada. In Saskatchewan, all health services and programs are required to maintain an accreditation award as part of their provincial accountability agreement.

Accreditation is an evaluation process used to assess the quality of health services to support continuous improvement. It is an objective, representative and external review process that provides health care organizations with a tool that helps them demonstrate their accountability to residents/patients, communities, and other stakeholders. This is one way of guiding Canada’s health care and service organizations in their quest to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable resident and family centered care.

Accreditation Canada is important because it helps create better health care for you, your loved ones and your community. It enables us to understand how to make better use of our resources, reduce risk and enhance quality and safety for everyone.
